Painting can become a divine conversation with yourself

Updated: Sep 15

When the brush first touches the surface of the canvas, you begin a profound journey into your own world of dreams, thoughts, and emotions that may have long been buried or overlooked.

Each stroke of the brush becomes a pathway, an expression that allows you to articulate grief, sorrow, pain, fear, vulnerability, or serenity, gratitude, excitement, sacredness, that often lie hidden within the depths of your being. These feelings and emotions, which you may have kept at bay for so long, begin to emerge as you engage in this intimate act of creation.

As you move the brush across the canvas, line after line, you find yourself delving deeper into the layers of your beingness, exploring the unexpressed and unrealized aspects of your inner self. This process is not just about creating a visual representation; it is a subconscious search for something profound and significant—an elusive truth or understanding that you may not even be consciously aware of. It is possible that you have never encountered this essence on the surface of your daily life, where the mundane often overshadows the deeper, more meaningful experiences.

Through the act of art, you grant yourself the opportunity to embrace your raw, natural self. In the sacred space of creativity, you may find that the very process of expressing your innermost feelings can lead to a form of healing. The brush becomes an extension of your emotions, allowing you to externalize what has been internalized for far too long.

Even if you have no clear understanding of where these feelings reside within you, or if they have been numbed down, the subconscious has a remarkable ability to bring forth what needs to be acknowledged. It will surface through your creative endeavours, transforming the canvas into a mirror that reflects your innermost struggles and triumphs. The canvas becomes a safe space where you can confront your fears and vulnerabilities, allowing you to process complex emotions that might otherwise remain trapped within.

Moreover, your artistic journey can serve as a powerful catalyst for self-discovery and transformation. As you continue to paint, you may notice that the colours you choose, the forms you create, and the textures you apply all represent specific frequencies unique only to you. The act of creating can lead to revelations about your soul qualities (your unique Soul Ray Harmonic). It can illuminate paths that you had not considered before, guiding you toward a deeper understanding of yourself and your place in the world. In this way, art is not only a form of expression but also a profound tool for personal growth and healing.

Ultimately, you will realise that you embarked on a journey that transcends the physical act of painting, reaching into the very essence of who you are. As you complete your piece of creation, you'll realise you've been in a different world, one familiar to the soul. Gradually, you'll discover how to access other dimensions that your consciousness acquires the ability to reach.

Through the process of art (or craft), you will learn how to initiate the divine conversation with yourself. The art becomes the portal to your deeper essence, offering benefits for your healing, well-being, connection, and sense of self.

Hi Asya,

The words "divine conversation with yourself" are resonating with me, and reading your words and seeing the art, I'm feeling an urge to express my wonder and awe of the cosmos. You are inspiring me to create! I never thought I could do art, even I have recently dabbled, but you help me believe, and realizing it doesn't have to be perfect, just an authentic expression, makes it seem possible. Thank you!

Hi Barbara,

That's the great realisation indeed. We do not have to jump straight into a "big arena" with our art. Small acts of authentic expression with self-commitment to do that as frequently as we can may help to feel the stream of the soul better thus leading to a greater self-realisation.

And learning to get out of the perfectionism is a big part of my own journey too right now 😉

Wishing you well with your artistic endeavours! I would love to know later how it goes for you, come and share.

With love,

💜Asya
